DIEGO ROLAN: JOUEUR URUGUAYEN DE F.C. BORDEAUX
At 19 years old, Diego Rolan is already a first team starter for one of Uruguay’s top clubs, Defensor Sporting. The winger has an impressive 8 goals in 11 games for “La Viola” so far this season and is regarded as the most talented and promising player of the current Uruguay under 20 squad.
Rolan is a very tricky and technical winger and is gifted with genuine pace and great dribbling skills. His talent will be on show at the upcoming Under-20 World Cup in Turkey and the top clubs in Europe will surely be sending out their scouts to check his performances. Manchester United have reportedly already been in contact with the promising youngster’s agent about a move. With United already snapping up 18 year old Chilean Striker Angelo Henriquez, who knows, if Rolan’s performances impress during the tournament he could be gracing the EPL sooner rather than later.

Diego Rolán est un footballeur uruguayen né le 24 mars 1993 à Montevideo en Uruguay. Attaquant formé au Defensor Sporting Club, il évolue actuellement aux Girondins de Bordeaux.
Diego Rolán effectue ses débuts en championnat uruguayen lors de la saison 2011-2012. Il dispute 23 matches (5 titularisations) et inscrit deux buts. LeDefensor Sporting Club termine le championnat à la deuxième place. Lors de la saison 2012-2013, il devient titulaire, inscrivant 8 buts en 15 matches.
Il est transféré le 31 janvier 2013 aux Girondins de Bordeaux et signe pour quatre saisons et demi. Il fait ses débuts avec l'équipe bordelaise lors des seizièmes de finale de l'Europa League face au Dinamo Kiev. Il entre en jeu à la 66e minute de la rencontre, terminée sur un match nul un partout, en remplacement de Nicolas Maurice-Belay.
En 2011, il participe à la Coupe du monde de football des moins de 20 ans avec l'Uruguay (élimination au premier tour). En 2013, il est sélectionné pour participer au Championnat des moins de 20 ans de la CONMEBOL.
